The Gallop of the Fire Spring
Sonnet (English)
Now comes the steed of fire with golden mane,
To chase the winter's chill from frozen ground.
The year of Horse returns to wax and wane,
And life awakens with a joyful sound.
Upon the bough the peach blooms blush in red,
As Phoebus drives his chariot through the sky.
The cold and grey of yesterday is dead,
And time upon a stallion's back doth fly.
So let the spirit gallop wild and free,
Across the meadows of the vernal day.
For beauty blooms for all the world to see,
Before the seasons turn and fade away.
This Year of Fire brings forth a noble start,
To warm the hearth and kindle every heart.
